All We Are Saying...

While peace may be at hand for the two Apples, things don't look so rosy between Lisa Jensen and the Loma Linda Homeowners Assn. in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. The AP reports that Bob Kearns, president of the HA fired the five members of the architectural control committee after they refused to order the wreath removed. The peace sign, the original design incoprporating the semaphore letters N and D (for nuclear disarmament) has become a universal symbol of peace, not a Satanic symbol, as some residents of Lisa's community have come to believe.

(Peace) doesn't seem to be much of a Christian symbol either, going by the past thousand years.

Griffith Observatory


It was Robert and my second anniversary Sunday and in addition to dinner at Vermont, we checked out the newly refurbished observatory. Reservations are pretty full through the end of the year, but it's worth the effort. We lucked out with a full moon that night, making for a memorable evening.
