The Silver Platter has been a thriving gay-identified and gay-known part of that "not the best neighborhood" for decades -- way before the tiny-minded "save the Trans World" art schoolers decided to have their party there.
The promoters publicized the shit out of their party on myspace etc and are NOW concerned about the protection about the "natives" because a paper wrote about their party?

You cant really stereotype wildness -- its ever changing ---plus it doesnt only generate a gay crowd it generates an overall friendly crowd that likes to move-- which is suprising in LA!
Pay more attention and dig deep through the hipster bullshit-- Most partys in LA are nothing but hipster ass shit--- Wildness caters more then Hip shit. Great Artists and Dj's alike come through there.
